Kakani is a small hill  station of Nepal lies 22kms northwards from Kathmandu City on the way to Pasang Lhamu highway to Nuwakot - Langtang and Tibet border to Kerung.

You can travel to Kakani by public bus with in an hour drive from New Bus park. Take motorbike ride or take a private transport.

The travel route and road to Kakani is a thrilling destination for mountain bike lovers. Everyday, many bike rider ride to kakani to enjoy the scenic beauties, strawberry wine and Trout fish test.

Kakani is a quite and less touristic place to see the mountain sunrise view, sunset view, and some of organic products like trout fish, strawberry, mushroom, radish and some of traditional herbs vegetables farms hub.

Kakani - A truly hilltop Nepal

Kakani Meaning Hill Over the Hills. A truly hilltop occupied by Tamang Folks.  Standing North west from Kathmandu valley located on Nuwakot Nepal. After 23 kilometers drive through Pasang Lhamu Highway, you reach Nepal's beautiful hill top Kakani.
